Things have been going okay adjusting to the new place and work. I am unpacked enough to live, eat, and sleep, which is good enough for me. Work has been fine, not really connecting with my coworkers but I’m not an outcast either so I’ll take it. It can be… hard connecting with people, but I’m hopeful. I don’t have a lot to do other than sit around at home when I don’t have work. It isn’t quite lonely but it isn’t quite comfortable either. I think someone else moved in on my floor, but I keep seeing the door close just as I leave my apartment. I can’t be sure that someone has moved in since I didn’t actually see it happen, but I was probably at work. It could also be that they are doing final prep in order to make sure that the apartment is ready for someone to move in within the next week or so. Either way I’ll take it, being the only person on the floor was starting to feel weird. The only other thing of note is that there’s a security camera by the stairs now. I saw the landlord while it was being installed. He said that with new tenants moving in he wanted to give a little extra security. It’s one of those black rounded weird ones that feels like it is looking everywhere and nowhere when you see it. I can see it the moment I leave my apartment, staring down the hallway. I guess it makes me feel a little more secure? But I can’t help feeling like it is staring me down, its gaze fixed on me as I hurry out for the day.
